While accomodations and technologies have changed over the years, the one thing that remains consistent at Caldwell Memorial Hospital is our commitment to providing patients with compassionate, quality health care services. Our hospital is located in the heart of downtown Columbia, Louisiana and is a rural based acute hospital with 37-beds with an additional 21 beds located at our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
At our Columbia campus, our community can also seek top quality care at our Winters Clinic. We also have two Rural Health Clinics in Wisner, La and Chatham, LA to meet the growing need for health care services in rural communities.
Disclosures: This facility provides competent, full trained staff who are available 24 hours per day. The hospital, in some instances, may not provide on-site availability of a physician 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. At times when there is no physician present, patients with health care emergencies will be assessed and treated by qualified medical personnel, with physician support available via telephone, internet and/or pager, and will be transferred to another hospital, when necessary. Also note that this facility meet the federal definition of a physician-owned hospital. A list of the hospital’s physician owners is available upon request.
